Coffee
While the house has a coffeemaker, espresso maker, and coffee bean grinder, making your own cup or shot might be a bit much after a night of revelry. Heine Bros. (2200 Bardstown Road) is the closest to the house, but Day’s (1420 Bardstown Road) is the best.
Parks
The beautiful 409-acre Cherokee Park is just a few blocks from the house (it was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead, the architect of New York’s Central Park). Its scenic loop makes for a 3.5-mile walk or run from the house (if you’re feeling motivated).
It also has a nine-hole golf course.
